Here we go! First to explain something.

made an incredible sketchbook for my project,

. Gorgeous book, like wow, this thing has presence. Feels like it should be filled with spells and potion recipes, magic.
But she's a bit on the heavy side, and mailing her around was going to be pretty pricey. Since this is my first project like this I didn't want it to be a flop, so we opted out for a smaller, lighter book. So now the original book will become my personal painting book.
`
ShePaintsWithBlood was the sweetest thing and sent me some book-making equipment (

!) so I gave my first sketchbook a shot!
she severly pales in comparison to the original book, but I think she turned out alright. I wanted to follow the steampunk theme, so her "theme" is steampunk, black leather, feathers and copper.

She's a little rough in spots, but for my first book I think she turned out okay! Added a neat little bookmark there too, a real peacock feather and a gear attached to a ribbon.
She's pretty small, only 54 usable sides for painting/drawing, so I'll be capping the participants for this project, since I think we're around 50. If this goes well, then perhaps there will be a round 2.

Go check out the original book!

I love those cut out feathers, they look completely awesome and I like the frame cutout on the front as well. I really like that little gear bookmark too with the feather. It is lovely.
This one definitely looks more portable...the other one was kind of a beast, haha. What method of binding did you use? Amazing job, dear!
